PARIT BUNTAR: HPI Resources Bhd’s subsidiary, Harta Packaging Industries (Perak) Sdn Bhd (Harta Perak) supports the Basketball Under-16 Kerian Boys’ Team representing Kerian in the 2019 SKCRC Kulim Kedah Basketball Tournament held on December 9th, 2019.

Harta Perak committed RM1,500 in sponsorship of the Jersey and Registration Fee for the said tournament. Besides, the management has agreed to financially support the team with same amount at yearly basis to develop grassroots talents in basketball. With this annual sponsorship, this has underscored the Company’s long-standing commitment in developing young sporting talent in the state as part of its CSR efforts in nation building.

Apart from the primary objective of nurturing young athletes to become national or regional champions, Harta Perak also sees sports as a stimulus to encourage corporate to share a little of their prosperity by providing the youth with a means to develop their personal skills and simultaneously improve the future prospects in terms of employability.

The handover of sponsorship was officiated by General Manager Mr. Lim Kok Siong and witnessed by the coach Mr. Poh Choon Wei.
