INTRODUCTION

Chiga Light Industries Sdn Bhd (“Chiga Light”)

Chiga Light started its operation back in 1978 at Tampoi Johor. In 1997, Chiga Light became a wholly owned subsidiary of HPI Resources Berhad and moved to Parit Raja in Year 2000.

Today Chiga Light operates 2 manufacturing plants producing a wide range of plastic extrusion films from PP, LDPE, HDPE and LLDPE. Besides plastic films, Chiga Light is equipped with a full-fledged converting facilities including printers and cutting machines that enable it to produce end products ranging from shopping bags, general purpose bags, food packaging bags, industrial customized bags, garbage bags, agricultural bags, shrink film and laminated PE film.

In 2017, Chiga Light commissioned its first state-of-the-art building equipped with multi-layer PE film extrusion machines, complete with GMP certification. This has enabled Chiga Light to serve the greater part of the Malaysia’s industrial PE film demand such as shrink film, lamination films and others.
